Association for the consultation of foreign employees in the canton of Zug
The goal of the founding of the association was: "The founding of an association for foreign workers of all nations, with the establishment of a counselling centre in the foreground." (Quote from the founding minutes of April 27, 1964).
The close links with the canton and the Zug economy are still noticeable today, as FMZ receives its mandate through a service agreement with the Department of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zug and all the Zug municipalities. Many Zug companies support the work of the FMZ with an annual financial contribution. As in the founding year, the board of the VBA is made up of representatives of the Canton of Zug, the Zug municipalities and the Zug business community. It is complemented by individuals from a wide variety of migration associations in the canton of Zug.
