Back to work

A series of seminars relating to employment in Switzerland

Because getting back on the career ladder is often the hardest job

Thursday, October 2nd 13:00- 17:00
Friday, October 3rd 09:00 - 13:00

Family commitments, a new environment, and language or cultural differences can all prove to be major obstacles when trying to regain a foothold in the professional world.

For many trailing spouses in Switzerland these challenges are compounded by the realities of a highly competitive, network-driven job market, the high cost of living, and the emotional strain of adapting to a new cultural environment.

Research shows that isolation, identity loss, and underemployment are common among spouses who relocate for their partner’s career, and that up to 80% of job opportunities in Switzerland remain hidden and accessible primarily through networks.

In these English-language seminars, you will benefit from the insights of guest speakers and the shared experiences of peers. Together, we will reflect on cultural differences, explore strategies for integration, and learn practical tools to build both personal and professional confidence. By combining expert knowledge with real stories from the community, this workshop aims to empower you to move from isolation to integration and to begin mapping your own path toward professional fulfillment in Zug.
